Veteran focused criminal defense

There may be some people in the civilian criminal justice system who do not understand the military mindset. They do not understand the training, the toll of the service, or the unique challenges that veterans face when they return to civilian life. I do.

Before I was an attorney, I spent nearly a decade in the United States Navy, individually deploying in a joint forces environment in support of the Global War on Terror and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. I know the culture, I know the sacrifice, and I know exactly how veterans can get caught up in the civilian justice system.

When you are facing the power of the state, you deserve an advocate who understands veteran issues and what resources that are out there for veterans. You deserve understanding, not blind pity. You deserve someone who can communicate this to a judge and jury. You’ve spent years defending this country, and it should count for something.
